Shine On Lancer Diamonds
A host of Lancers gathered at James W. Totman Stadium before a California Baptist University baseball game to celebrate the conclusion of the “Light It Up For the Lancers” campaign and to recognize those who have supported CBU baseball through giving to the Bob Adcock Memorial Fund.
“Light It Up For the Lancers” was a three-phase drive which raised funds to install lighting to the aquatic facilities, baseball and softball fields. The recognition ceremony was held before a baseball game between California Baptist University and Cal State San Bernardino on Friday, February 7th.
A special dedication plague in honor of Bob Adcock was unveiled during the event before three people with connections to CBU threw out first pitches before the game.
California Baptist University Dean of Admissions Allen Johnson, Coleen Adcock (Bob Adcock’s wife) and Marsden Holding, L.L.C. Western Division President and Chief-Operating Officer Brian Davis each threw out first pitches.
Johnson threw out his pitch to CBU baseball Coach Gary Adcock, while Colleen Adcock had her grandson Tyler Adcock catching behind the plate. Davis of Marsden Holding, which is one of the largest privately owned security and facility service providers in the nation, had his daughter Sydney Davis catching for him.
