Welcome to the College of Health Science!
Hi CHS Students and welcome to The Pulse! I am Brittany, Coordinator of Student Transitions, and I will be opening the blog with this introductory post. Throughout the fall semester, we will be offering insights into the college, valuable resources to utilize, and advice to prepare you for the transition to graduate school. I will be starting off this first post with useful tips to know about the health science campus so get comfortable, grab a cup of coffee, and let’s dig in to the new semester together!
Dean of the College of Health Science
Let me virtually introduce you to Dr. Pearson, the Dean of the College of Health Science. His open door policy immediately creates a welcoming environment for all students to address their questions or concerns. His heart for the Lord exudes in all things he does, including his service to students through prayer, counseling, and so much more.
If you would like to make an appointment with the Dean, email dpearson@calbaptist.edu to schedule your visit.
Foodology
If you’re not already familiar with Foodology, go try it out and see why students rave about their food. They offer everything from breakfast burritos to grab-n-go items with a large variety of foods in between. Foodology also caters to those who are vegetarian, prefer dairy-free options, and those with food allergies!
For hours of operation and menu items, download the Tapingo app. This app allows you to order food from your phone and pick it up when ready.
Printing
Printing services are offered to students by emailing your documents to chs01@calbaptist.edu. The cost of printing is five cents for every two pages. You can pick them up with the student worker at the front desk in the A building Monday-Friday from 10am-2pm. Be sure to email them at least 30 minutes before you need them to ensure they have been printed and are ready to pick up.
Study Room: A7
A7 is available to study in Monday – Thursday from 4:00-9:00pm for the fall semester. This is a great room to take advantage of during the semester so be sure to invite your friends!
Health & Wellness Center
In case you weren’t already aware, the Health & Wellness Center has moved to 3626 Monroe Street. This new location is walking distance from the College of Health Science as it now occupies the old elementary school campus. To explore everything they offer, be sure to visit their website for details, hours of operation, how to schedule an appointment, etc.
Thanks for visiting The Pulse! We will have new updates throughout the fall as we aim to prepare and serve you for the remainder of your college career.
