Tribe

WHAT IS A TRIBE?
Tribes are our missional communities on campus. They meet once a week all over campus, normally in someone’s apartment or a common living area. They read the Bible together, normally one passage at a time until they’ve read most of a book of the Bible in a semester. Questions are asked and truth is applied to every day life so it makes sense in people’s real life circumstances. In Tribe, relationships develop through food, life stories, deep questions, and spiritual conversations. A group of people in relationship with each other, honestly processing life, leads to community where genuine care and sacrificial love can be experienced. People were created for relationship and so we strive to point people to it through Tribe.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT TRIBE:

  • PREGAME
Each Tribe meeting starts with an EPIC question, and some Tribes include snacks during this time.

If you volunteered to bring snacks, click here.
If you volunteered to ask the epic question, click here.
  • PURPOSE
Someone explains the purpose of Tribes (to help people take the next step in their spiritual journeys) and shares one thing they learned in the last few weeks.

If you volunteered to lead the purpose segment, click here.
  • PAST WEEK (Praise & Application)
Someone leads the tribe in a time of praising God for what He has done for people, as well as summarizing the passage from the previous week.

If you volunteered to lead the past week segment, click here.
  • PASSAGE
Someone leads the tribe in a time of discussion and learning from a specific passage in the Bible.

If you volunteered to lead the passage segment, click here.
  • POSTGAME
We encourage people in tribes to connect with each other throughout the week for further growth. The Discipleship Group format is a good outline to follow for this.
