That’s a Wrap!
Well, here we are.
The last blog for my last week of undergrad.
It is bizarre to look back and realize that I began blogging my journey as a sophomore three years ago. At the time I had no idea that the years would go by so quickly, and I never expected the gravity of immense blessings I would encounter.
I sit here now, finishing up my final assignments and gazing forward to all that is ahead. I realize that I am not exactly where I thought I would be at this point in my life, but I can honestly say I would not change a thing.
In a few short days I will have done what it takes to earn a degree in the fields I love, and I will soon thereafter start an entirely new adventure. I get to partner with a man I didn’t think I would find and begin to dive into the unknown with him alongside me. I get to enter a new world equipped with priceless lessons learned from both brilliant professors and the best friends I could have imagined. While I carry scrapes and bruises, I will learn to wear them proudly – after all, these are what make our experiences more meaningful.
If I can leave this place with one last thought, it would be this: embrace each moment. Life is not wholly built up of grand occurrences that call attention to themselves. The biggest moments of our lives are often the seemingly inconsequential ones: the walk on a late Tuesday night, the intellectual connection made when doing an assignment, the unplanned conversations on all corners of campus, or the lazy Saturday mornings drinking coffee with your roommates. The Present is always happening, and the greatest gifts will be given in its smallest moments.
Moving on from here, I know without a doubt that my moments could not have been better spent than here at CBU. I pray that those still here or yet to arrive will seize each opportunity to grow closer to the Creator and those around them in order to live fully and love deeply. Be blessed and do good precisely where you are, and open your eyes to what our God has done through it all.
With that, I thank you all for sticking with me, and let out a “Geronimo!” as I dive into an entirely new adventure.
