Mid-semester
Midterms are over, and I’m glad to be done with them. However, I cannot believe that half a semester has already passed. So much has happened. I have enjoyed this semester so far and hope to finish it well. I thought that my workload would die down after midterms, but I am as busy as before. It is a blessing, though, to have schoolwork because it reminds me how lucky I am to be attending a university.
Most students come to California Baptist University knowing their major and having an idea of what they want to do. So, it can get a little frustrating to not have a major. I do not really know what I am working towards or what I want to do. At times, I want to take a break from school to try figure that out. However, I think that staying in school will actually help me figure out what I like doing, what I am good at and help point me in the right direction.
All in all, it is a bittersweet time for me. With half a semester out of the way I know that I am closer to graduating. However, two of my “apartment–mates” will be leaving at the end of this semester. I have enjoyed the time that we have spent together and do not want them to leave. That is one hard fact about college. Sometimes you get to know someone for a semester and then have to turn around and say goodbye. I need to spend more quality time with them and enjoy the time we have left together, though. They leave in less than two months. That is less than six weeks!
Prayer:
Please pray for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
