Gary Lopatynski
Instructional Designer
Having graduated from CSUSB in 2017 Summa Cum Laude with a focus on English Literature, I knew from the beginning of my collegiate journey that higher education was my true passion. Having initially resigned myself to teach at the secondary level for perceived job security, spending time pursuing my master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology, I realized that I could never let go of that dream. Having the opportunity to work for CSUSB at the onset of COVID-19 to assist the university’s instructional design team in technology assistance and course design, I knew collaborating with faculty to design and improve collegiate courses to enhance student outcomes was my true calling. Having worked with the designers and also being appointed to assist in the design of an adaptive learning system through a multi-institutional team, ADAPT, I was able to bring these experiences to CBU. I feel empowered and blessed to be able to do what I love every day, collaborating and empowering faculty to design amazing coursework that engages students and ensures their ability to live their purpose.
